Transfer to Kenhorst Fire Department

On August 9th just after midnight station 4 was dispatched to transfer to station 69 (Kenhorst fire department), while they operated on a 2nd alarm structure fire in Wyomissing Borough. Engine 4 was standing by at station 69 for about 2 hours before being released.

MVA with Fire

As crews were preparing for training on Tuesday August 4th, we were dispatched for a vehicle fire as the result of a vehicle crash on List Rd. in the township. Crews arrived to a car off the road, fully involved with the occupant out of the vehicle. EMS was added to the assignment as the operator of the vehicle was moderately injured. Crews worked quickly to contain the fire before any extension into the woods. Please, drive sensibly and obey the speed limit on the mountain roads.

    Hazmat Call

    Tuesday, August 4 at 830am crews from Lower Alsace and Mt. Penn were dispatched to 1722 Friedensburg Rd for a gas line struck by a contractor. Crews arrived, confirmed the leak, and contacted UGI. The leak was stopped with two pairs of vice grips until the arrival of UGI.

      Assist Station 25 on a Garage Fire

      Monday August 3 just before 10:00PM. crews were dispatched to assist the Exeter Township Fire Department for a garage fire on Wyndham Hill Dr. Quick work by Exeter crews contained the fire, while our crew stood by in the manpower pool.

        August 2nd we had 2 calls for the day

        Aug. 2nd brought us 2 calls one being an automatic fire alarm (AFA) at  Mt Penn Manor Apartments shortly after 2:00PM. Engine 4 got recalled before responding. Then right before midnight, Engine 4 was dispatched to assist Exeter Twp. Fire Department (station 25) with a vehicle into a house on Parkview ave in Exeter Township. Engine 4 arrived on scene and assisted Exeter Twp. Fire Department with patient care.

        MVA WITH ENTRAPMENT

        July 25, 2026

        Crews responded to a rollover crash on Spook Lane just before 2:30 PM. On arrival a female was still in the car, conscious and talking. With the help from Mt. Penn R1, crews extricated and turned the occupant over to EMS for patient care. Crews remained on scene for approximately 1 hour to assist with scene safety and clean up.
