On January 1st 2026 around 4:00 PM company 4 along with mutual aid were dispatched to Stokesay Castle for a hazmat. Chief 4 arrived on location with natural gas leaking out of the supply line before the meter. Crews arrived and closed the valve feeding gas to the meter. Crews then entered the building to check for any gas that may have leaked inside. Crews had an odor of gas, checked with multi gas meters and determined there was no actual gas inside. Fans were placed and fresh air was introduced to the affected areas. UGI arrived on scene and released fire units, continuing their investigation.
On January 20, 2026 at 1424 station 4 along with mutual aid was dispatched to the 100 block of Lewis Rd for an automatic fire alarm chief 4 got on location and conformed that the alarm was cause by cooking and that the assessment can recall.
On January 19, 2026 at 1951 station 4 along with mutual aid was dispatched to the 700 block of Brighton ave for an automatic fire alarm Deputy. 4-1 got on location and found out that it was an unannounced fire drill. deputy 4-1 made the assessment was recalled
11/12/25, crews from Lower Alsace assisted Alsace Township on a structure fire. Our personnel spent over an hour supporting water operations, conducting searches, and assisting with overhaul. Great work by all departments involved for making quick work of the incident.
On Tuesday October 28th just before 3pm LAFC along with the first due were dispatched to the 500 block of Carsonia ave for a structure fire with possible entrapment. Chief 4 arrived on location with fire showing and asked for the 2nd alarm to be dispatched due to heavy fire conditions on the Charlie delta side. 3rd alarm was also dispatched for additional manpower. The fire was placed under control just before 5:30pm. The PSP Fire Marshal is investigating the cause of the Fire.
On October 29th at about 1600, station 4 (LAFC) and station 1 (Mt Penn Fire company) was dispatched to the 600 block of Byram Street for a hazmat. Upon response 911 commutation center advise Engine 4 that the home owner is reporting fuel oil on their basement floor. Engen 4 and rescue 1 arrived on scene and found approximately 200 Gallons of heating oil that leaked from the tank and entering into the sanitary sewer system. Command (Deputy Chief 4-1) quickly notified the AVMA staff. Engine 4 personal quickly stopped more fuel oil from entering the sanitary sewer system through the basement floor. Rescue 1 worked with AVMA staff and the consulting engineer from Entech Engineering to minimize the impact to the wastewater treatment plant biology and to prevent contamination of the Antietam creek Engine 4 assisted rescue 1 at the wastewater plant after they handed the house over to the landlord.
