On Sunday February 8th, 2026 shortly after 3:00 AM,
Lower Alsace Fire Company was dispatched to assist the Exeter Township Fire Department with a reported garage fire attached to the home in the 100 block Old Friedensburg Road. Crews arrived to find a garage fully involved with extension into the house. Advanced fire conditions forced crews to an exterior attack, as fire breached the roof. Engine-Tanker 4 assisted with water operations while crews assisted with fire suppression. In addition to the fire conditions, crews also faced extreme cold and ice with temperatures near zero and high winds. Real feel at the time of the fire was around -20 degrees. Crews were released from the fire ground around 7:00 AM
