10/27/2026 Training

---

Although we are not a truck company, Tuesday training was ladders and using tools from a ladder. We train for what might be required of our members, not strictly engine company operations.

For training Tuesday, crews participated in relay pumping, appliance familiarization, and apparatus placement. Also, Firefighting Long received his final testing on ET4, and is now released as a qualified chauffeur/operator.

Members of the Lower Alsace Fire Department participated in a live burn training exercise. The training provided firefighters with the opportunity to practice vital fireground operations in realistic conditions. Crews worked through essential skills including hose-line advancement, fire suppression, search operations, communication. Hands-on training like this helps ensure our members are prepared to respond safely, efficiently, and effectively when called upon to protect our community.
